International Technology Transfer Network (ITTN)

ITTN promotes the international exchange and interworking of technology, talents and capital through international technology exchange and trading platforms, and promotes international technology transfer and industrialization cooperation.

ITTN was founded in January 2011 under guidance of Ministry of Science and Technology of China with the mission of promoting cross-border innovation technology commercialization practice between China and other countries. As an international technology transfer organization, ITTN develops fourth-party international technology transfer platform with market-oriented mechanism, organizes high-quality resources of international technology innovation in supply, and builds innovation cooperation network that connects 610 international technology transfer institutions in 35 countries around the world and 168 outstanding industry leaders recruited into the International Committee of ITTN. Meanwhile, ITTN has established 9 overseas sub centers and representative offices. On the demand side, ITTN explores cooperation demand of domestic industries, promotes professionalization of third-party intermediary entities, and integrates professional service capability for ‘value-chain’ of cross-border innovation technology commercialization.

So far, ITTN has established branch offices in 11 domestic cities. ITTN annually organizes 3,000 overseas innovation technology projects and more than 300 exchange activities. In order to build capacity of third-party professional technology transfer service institutions, with the support of MOST, ITTN has carried out the training, test, and certification of China International Technology Transfer Professional with the Handbook on Technology Commercialization Practices in APEC Economies. ITTN has successfully organized trainings in nearly 30 domestic cities since 2014, and has become the only professional entity that organizes national-level certification of China International Technology Transfer Professional.

In 2018, ITTN was jointly certificated by International Cooperation Department of MOST and Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of MOST as China National International Science and Technology Cooperation Base (international technology transfer center group). Among the 729 bases certificated by MOST, there are 45 bases of international technology transfer center group. ITTN is the only national international technology transfer center that focuses on international science & technology innovation and platform services, and operates in market-oriented mechanism.
