Cooperativa Sociale Demetra

Demetra works to pursue the general interests of the community, human promotion and the social and labor integration of citizens, especially the most fragile and vulnerable people . He has worked together with public and private bodies, such as the Faculty of Education of the University of Messina, the Aspromonte National Park Authority, the Mountain Community Versante dello Stretto, the Chamber of Commerce of Reggio Calabria, Municipality of S. Stefano in Aspromonte, Coldiretti, Slow Food.

Demetra has developed cultural and educational initiatives in the field of social tourism, has favored the work placement of disadvantaged people, through the performance of service and production activities in the tourism, agricultural and craft sectors, has created a territorial tourist animation system, it has safeguarded and enhanced the uses, customs, crafts, ethnic and linguistic activities, folklore, environmental, natural, cultural, architectural and historical archaeological assets of the Calabrian peasant civilization.
