ASSECO GDYNIA

The Asseco Gdynia basketball club was established in 1995. The team only needed two years to be promoted to the basketball elite in Poland, and in the 2000/2001 season it won the first Polish Cup. This success made it possible for the club to play internationally. In the 2001/2002 and 2002/2003 seasons, Prokom Trefl won the Polish vice-championship, at the same time taking part in international competitions, and in 2003 he became the finalist of the FIBA Champions Cup. In the 2003/2004 season, Prokom Trefl won the first national championship and qualified for the quarter-finals of the ULEB Cup. The title of Polish champion gave the club the right to play in the Euroleague. And so, from the 2004/2005 season to the 2011/2012 season, the Asseco Gdynia team represented our country in the European basketball game "Champions League". Four times he was promoted to the group of the sixteen best teams (Top16) of this competition. In the 2009/2010 season, we made a historic achievement in Polish basketball - promotion to the eight best teams (Final Eight) in Europe. Moreover, Asseco Gdynia became the Polish Champion nine times in a row (2004-2012).

Asseco Gdynia is a recognizable brand among sports clubs not only in our country. The team from Gdynia was awarded by Euroleague Basketball with the following prizes: in 2010 "Best Executive of the Year" and "Devotion Marketing Award" and again in 2011 "Devotion Marketing Award".

In the youth tournaments, the club has also already achieved significant successes in the 2014/2015 season: -V-ce Polish Junior U-20 Champion and 4th place in the Polish U-18 Junior Championship. In the 2015/2016 season, we won the U-20 Polish Junior Championship and the first place in the EYBL (European Youth Basketball League) tournament. In the 2017/2018 season, the U-20 team again became the Polish Champion.
