About

Established in 2014, Policy and Market Options (PMO) has its offices in Nairobi, Kenya with prospects to grow in the East Africa Region. We work in agricultural value chains providing development consulting services and implementation of donor-funded programs to facilitate effective market-oriented and private sector-led development; resilience building; organizational capacity development; entrepreneurship; and employment opportunities for all including youth and women.

We work in partnership with development organizations, international consulting firms, the private sector, and governments to deliver programs aimed at improving livelihoods, improving competitiveness, and building the resilience of communities.

For the past 7 years we have implemented projects and undertaken short term consultancy assignments in partnership with various development organizations including SNV, Netherlands Development Organization; Land O Lakes, Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), The Royal Danish Embassy, Danish Development Aid (DANIDA) Christian Aid, International Fertilizer Corporation (IFDC), World Bank Funded Programs and Fair Trade Africa among others.

we seek to partner with donor organizations, international consulting firms, and other development organizations as Local Implementing Partners in projects that are in line with our technical capacity and experience.  We not only bring local knowledge but also have the capacity to design and implement value chain/market-led programs, conduct research (market research, value chain analysis, M&E, etc.), undertake institutional capacity development, and policy development among others.

We have 10 full-time staff and have worked in over 25 Counties in Kenya. In addition, we also reach out to our database where we have a pool of consultants for any specific skills that we may be lacking internally.
