UBFA - Union of Bulgarian Foundations and Associations\

UBFA is a nonprofit, nongovernmental organisation established on April 12, 1992 by 42 Bulgarian NGOs. In its efforts to promote the civic and pluralistic values of democratic society in Bulgaria, UBFA endevours to:

* assist in the establishment of favourable social, legal and fiscal environment for philanthropy and charity in Bulgaria;

* advocate for the interests of Bulgarian NGOs;

* foster good practices and high professional standards in performing nonprofit activities;

* facilitate cooperation and assistance among the NGOs on both national and international level.

UBFA is a representative body of Bulgarian nonprofit community uniting more than 250 Bulgarian NGOs active in various fields – social care, environment, human rights and democracy, minorities, gender issues, health care, youth, community development, culture and arts, education and science, economic development and investment, research and technologies.
