African Mission Healthcare Foundation (AMHF)

AMHF supports medical missionaries & mission hospitals.

Christian mission hospitals provide 1/3 of all medical care in Africa--as well as a large part of health worker training. The peak of medical missionary work occurred nearly a century ago. Founding missions and agencies have largely withdrawn.

The relatively medical missionaries remaining and their African colleagues are facing an unprecedented array of complicated medical challenges--from AIDS to surgical problems to cancer. Dr. Jon Fielder and New York businessman Mark Gerson, along with their friends and supporters, began AMHF to assist these on-the-ground health workers and their institutions.
