About

The Kundalini Research Institute (KRI) is a non-governmental organization established in 1972 in the USA that supports the spread of kundalini yoga by making it accessible to everyone through its classes and training programs. It comprises a team of devoted yogis who try to help people connect this traditional practice with modern life, allowing them to experience the true benefits such as finding peace, health and happiness.

With a main mission of preserving the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, KRI supports the integrity of practice and learning through the development of three levels of International Yoga Teacher Certification  which leads to the granting of the KRI Seal of Approval and the provision of online services and physical resources for Kundalini Yoga students and teachers. KRI yoga lessons are a powerful combination of posture, pranayama, music, mantras and meditation through which participants learn about the art of relaxation and elevation with no previous experience required to attend classes.

KRI activities include training programs comprised of three levels, research related to the effects of Kundalini Yoga on health, the publishing of books and articles on Kundalini Yoga and making resources available to students and teachers (Aquarian Trainer Academy, Library of Teachings, Yogi Bhajan Photo Archive).
