About

"Positive Initiative" network organization is a patient-led organization, founded in 2011. Therefore, we know all about living with HIV, tuberculosis, hepatitis C and drug addiction in the Republic of Moldova firsthand. Through our work we are combining efforts of all responsible and interested
stakeholders, strengthening community systems, influencing public opinion and policy. We create an environment where everyone, regardless of their vulnerability, has all necessary rights and opportunities for a decent life.

The main areas of activity and expertise include the following psychological and social services :

  • Protecting the rights and promoting the interests of patients 
  • Strengthening community systems
  • Capacity building of civil society organizations
  • Formation of public opinion
  • Rehabilitation of prisoners and reintegration into society of former prisoners 
  • Influence on the formation of public policies
  • Transparency and efficiency in the use of public funds
  • Psychological and social support, as well as rehabilitation from drug and alcohol addiction
  • Budget advocacy
  • Help for people suffering from drug or alcohol addiction, psychological support for their loved ones

  • Development of social business as a source of funding for NGOs
  • Expansion and development of business partnerships to solve social problems
  • Psychological and social support for people with HIV 
  • Economic security of under-represented groups in the labor market
  • Prevention and treatment, care and support services for key HIV vulnerable groups and HIV positive people
