The authority for the university of applied sciences has supervisory responsibility for the educations that fall within our area of responsibility.

Through supervision, we check that the training courses comply with the laws and regulations that apply.

We analyze the labor market's needs for education within the university of applied sciences, decide which educations should be included in the university of applied sciences and grant state funds to the education providers. We also promote validation in the courses.

We are also responsible for issues relating to certain educations that are outside the university of applied sciences - post-secondary art and culture educations run by independent schools as well as interpretation educations in public education.
