The global pharmaceutical company, Strides, has acquired a stake in the generics producer with the drug brands Fairmed Healthcare and Eris Pharma in 2019. Incorporated in 1990, Strides Pharma Science Limited is a global pharmaceutical company headquartered in Bangalore, India. The company has a global manufacturing footprint with eight manufacturing facilities spread across four continents with a strong footprint across 100 countries.

The strategic partnership further strengthens the footprint in continental Europe with a direct presence in the German speaking markets of Switzerland, Austria and Germany. The combination of Strides’ vast international product portfolio and Fairmed Healthcare’s market access in the Germany/Austria/Switzerland region will be a powerful driver of growth in the coming years.

This also safeguards continuous development of the patient-oriented portfolio in Germany – as reference country in the important European pharmaceuticals market – through new marketing authorisations and innovative medical devices.
