Officially Africa Media Group Limited (AMGL) was incorporated in 2000 prevailed by a joint venture between Dar es Salaam Television (DTV) and Coastal Television Network (CTN) in 1999.

Africa Media Group Limited owns television and radio stations as mainstream media in the media Industry; Channel Ten, Channel Ten Plus, Magic FM and Classic FM as active stations with the license to operate in the United Republic of Tanzania.

Being the main Television brand in the Company, Channel Ten famously over 20 years in operation, managed to be one of the highest-rated media houses because of excellent broadcasts such as news, lifestyle, sports, documentaries, live content and socially-oriented programs additionally to that the channel has its leading theme “kilicho bora kabisa”.
