Associacao Smart Waste Portugal

Associação Smart Waste Portugal (ASWP) is a non-profit association, created in May 2015, which aims to create a nationwide platform that leverages waste as a resource, acting throughout the Sector's value chain, promoting Research, Development and Innovation, promoting and encouraging cooperation between the various entities, public and private, national and non-national.

At the moment, ASWP already has 123 members, coming from different sectors of activity.

The Circular Economy is an important guiding principle of the activity of Associação Smart Waste Portugal, being this the interface of the concerns and needs of the entities of the sector that it represents, promoting dialogue and synergies between them, through a collaborative strategy, always in the perspective of new business opportunities.

ASWP's brief experience at the national level demonstrates that a collaborative strategy allows great achievements.
