About

The Miquel Crusafont Catalan Institute of Paleontology (ICP) is a foundation, created in November 2006, with the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Autonomous University of Barcelona as patrons, which takes over from the Miquel Crusafont Institute of Paleontology, founded in 1969.

As a center of reference in research, conservation and dissemination of vertebrate and human palaeontology in Catalonia, the ICP aims to boost and promote research at the highest international level, the conservation of palaeontological heritage and allow the transfer of knowledge and applications in society. We have a headquarters at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and another in Sabadell, in a museum that houses the collection and works to spread paleontology.
