BDCCL is the only state-owned innovation-first IV Tier DC and cloud service provider in Bangladesh. The data center is built on cloud computing and G-Cloud technology on 07.00 acres of land at Bangabandhu Hi-Tech City, Kaliakor, Gazipur. It is the 7th largest data center in the world with zero down time and the data center has been established as a Tier Four (Tier-IV) gold fault tolerant data center by obtaining the Tier Certification of Operational Sustainability certification from the US-based Uptime Institute. Cloud computing, cloud desktop, cloud storage, data storage and backup, data security and co-location services are being provided from this data center.

With 99.995% uptime, this data center is managed by trained and skilled manpower to ensure 24x7 service. The Cabinet meeting approved the proposal to set up a company named "Bangladesh Data Center Company Limited (BDCCL)" on December 30, 2019, to run the Data Center smoothly.
