The company was founded in 1966 as Buser+Kalt. Kalt+halbeisen Ingenieurbüro AG was formed in 1987 when Siegfried Halbeisen joined the company.

In 2000, the successor was settled with Daniel Raidt and Peter Flükiger. In 2011, the company gained broader support through the participation of partners Roland Zehnder, Haiko Mannschatz, Roland Graf and Andreas Häfeli. In 2018, the partner team was strengthened by Manuel Schneider.
