The Hellenic Railways Organization SA is the operator of the national railway infrastructure and responsible for the execution of infrastructure development projects.The Hellenic Railways Organization is the Manager of the Railway Infrastructure in the Greek territory. It manages, maintains, operates, modernizes and expands a railway network of more than 2,200 km. across the country.

The operation of the Organization aims at two main objectives:

In the development of freight connections with the aim of strengthening the Greek economy by strengthening transit work and trans-European transport
