Ísar is a brand of Jakar ehf, Iceland. Jakar is a road vehicle OEM, with an international team of designers, engineers, fabricators, business experts and professional end users, aiming to enable people all over the world to travel sustainably, safely and swiftly with or without road infrastructure.

Ísar is currently in prototype testing and pre-production stage.

Ísar operates with a cluster of specialist companies in Iceland, EU and North America.

Ísar uses complete, certified propulsion packages and component sets from contracted supplier General Motors Corporation.

Ísar vehicles are Type Approval certified by third party vehicle certification specialists to EU Class M2/M3 road vehicle regulations.
