About

The Zagreb Zoo was founded in 1925 and is located in the over 200-year-old Maksimir Park. It covers 7 hectares, of which 5.5 is the land part. It is home to over 368 species of animals and more than 7,182 individuals from all continents. It is possible to see numerous species of animals - mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish and invertebrates, from almost all continents.

The zoo participates in numerous projects and programs dealing with the research and protection of endangered species, and during the year it is possible to participate in more than 30 educational programs and events. That is why it is a favorite place for relaxation and entertainment.
