About
INITIATIVE FOR LIVELIHOODS IMPROVEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT was founded in the year 2022 in response to the dire needs of various Communities in South Sudan. Its main office is in Juba, with its liaison offices to be established in various States of the country as necessarily deemed and shall be determined by the alarming rate of community needs.
The initiative for Livelihoods improvement and Development Organization (ILIDO) is a National Non-Governmental Organization (NNGO) and non-political agency operating in South Sudan. It is registered with the South Sudan Relief and Rehabilitation Commission (SRCC), an overall INGOs, NNGOs and UN Agencies government controlling body.
We came across with astounding facts about difficulties facing the communities in South Sudan in terms of living conditions, and We refuse to be silent as we continues to see communities struggling under the tittering economy of South Sudan. Their vulnerability and dehumanizing living conditions is heart breaking, and thus, prompted the decision of initiating IDILO‘’ as an organization, which will help provide humanitarian services to improve their living conditions. It is ILIDO’s sincere desire to help transform the lives of the less fortunate members of the society and rebuild their livelihoods into becoming self-reliant in a sustainable, peaceful and prosperous society.
