In 1907, the year after the factory was founded, the first Grenaa marine engine was delivered.

Grenaa Diesel engines have been developed especially for ship propulsion. Therefore, our machines have exceptional operational flexibility. A Grenaa uses very little fuel and has high torque throughout the rev range – a real tug of war.

In practice, a Grenaa engine is inexhaustible. We know of engines that have been re-installed up to 3 times in new vessels after the old ships have been cut up.

A Grenaa engine is a simple and well-constructed machine that is difficult to destroy and simple to repair. Electronics have no place on a real marine engine. The Grenaa sails on in the dark and brings you home safely, even if all power on the ship fails.
