France gaz (formerly Association Française du Gaz -AFG)

France gaz (formerly Association Française du Gaz (AFG)), created in 1874, is the trade association for the French gas industry: natural gas, biomethane, biogas, hydrogen and LPG.

The role of France gaz is:

• To promote the development of the combustible gas and fuel industry covering in particular natural gas, renewable gases, hydrogen and gases in France,
• To enable the gas industry to succeed in its energy transition ,
• To ensure representation of its members with the public authorities ,
• To shed light, through joint work and discussion, on any question of interest to the gas industry , to encourage its study and to publicize the work which is useful to this industry, both in France and abroad ,
• To provide all useful services expected by the gas industry , both in France and abroad,
• To contribute to the work of regulation, standardization and certification of the gas industry with national, European and international organisations.
