The Portuguese Society of Rheumatology (SPR) was founded in 1972 and is a scientific association made up of Rheumatologists and other physicians and health professionals with an interest in the area.
This Society represents Portuguese Rheumatology before National and International Authorities and Scientific Organizations, thus being the natural partner in defining the sector's policies.
SPR's mission is to promote, develop and disseminate teaching, research, prevention and treatment of rheumatic diseases in Portugal.
