Academie de Mayotte

The Académie de Mayotte , formerly the directorate of education in Mayotte then vice-rectorate by decree no . 99-941 of theNovember 12, 1999, became atJanuary 1 , 2020, in the wake of the School of Trust Law of July 26, 2019 and by Decree No. 2019-1200 ofNovember 20, 2019relating to the organization of the decentralized services of the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation , a rectorate and a fully-fledged academic region.

It is the administrative district of National Education in Mayotte .

Its organization has been adapted to the new framework of territorial organization and its perimeter corresponds to that of the Mayotte academic region. It is managed by a rector of an academic region .

The Mayotte academy has a school calendar adapted to take account of the climatic seasons. The rectorate, which brings together the administrative services, is located on the heights of Mamoudzou .
