The UBA Group by buying the shares of the State, SONACOP and BOAD in the capital of Continental Bank Benin (CBB), on December 31, 2008, becomes the strategic partner and the main shareholder of the bank. This acquisition allowed Continental Bank Benin to integrate the largest banking group in West Africa and to become in 2012, UBA Benin. Today, this subsidiary has 16 agencies and ticket machines on the national territory.
