DG Cities is a multidisciplinary team committed to doing just that. We deliver across the full cycle of research, strategy, implementation and evaluation. We are always looking at how an idea might be developed further, how it could benefit more people, how a system could work more effectively. 

We work with organisations and communities to address urgent environmental, social and economic challenges. Together, we provide wide-ranging expertise in technology, consumer behaviour, emerging trends, policy and its application.

Our focus is making innovation inclusive; making sure that change works for everyone. Whether we’re developing a strategy for electric vehicle charging in the countryside, tackling digital exclusion in a city or evaluating results from the UK’s first public trial of autonomous vehicles, we start with communities. By putting people first, we can make sure any innovation is sustainable, accessible - and most importantly, useful.
