The Longhouse Film

In September 2022, a group of musicians and filmmakers went on a three-week adventure through the North Atlantic region, where the largest part of the documentary, The Longhouse, was filmed along with music recording sessions with artists from the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland. In February 2023, another trip was made to film the winter in Iceland. Two smaller expeditions to Iceland and one to the Faroe Islands and Greenland are planned to film what is missing to complete the documentary.

The film The Longhouse is a feature-length documentary. We are accompanied by artists from the Nordic countries and Canada on a tour of the Faroe Islands, Greenland and Iceland. The group works with local artists to record music and at the same time shine a spotlight on the spectacular nature, culture and human life of these places.
