From tradition to continuity

During its operation, Riko has evolved into a vertically integrated group offering technological products and services for different stages of the production process in various industries.

The Rika roots date back to the second half of the 19th century, when a workshop on sports and medical equipment named JOR was set up in Ribnica, the cradle of Slovenian entrepreneurship. 

On the foundations of this workshop, the company Ribniški metal industry of metal equipment, a shorter RIKO, was founded. Since then, until 1990, production programs of agricultural mechanization, tractor connections, aviation and utility equipment, waste equipment and highly sophisticated flexible systems have been developed. 

In the 1990s, Riko from pure production switched to engineering. With its offer and representing the prestigious European manufacturers, Riko became a long - term partner mainly for automotive manufacturers in the markets of the former Soviet Union in the modernization of their technological processes. With our knowledge, we have expanded the scope to many markets, where the need for comprehensive solutions for the introduction of modern, more efficient and environmentally-friendly technologies is emerging.
