The Ministry of Finance of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg prepares and implements the budgetary, financial and fiscal policy of the State. As such, he is competent for thepublic finance and preparation of the state budget. It also defines policy with regard to the financial sector, and is in charge of relations with international financial institutions, as well as State property policy.

Finally, a large number of administrations are attached to it such as the Administration of Direct Contributions, the Administration of Registration, Domains and VAT and the Administration of Customs and Excise, to name a few. one. The main functions of the ministry are budget , finance , treasury and taxation . They are defined by the Grand-Ducal decree establishing the ministries.
