Viktimološko Društvo Srbije-Victimology Society of Serbia

Viktimološko Društvo Srbije (Victimology Society of Serbia) is an independent and non-profit organization, was founded in 1997 with the aim to gather as many humanistic oriented scholars and professionals who are interested in working on the development of victimology (the study of victims) and improving the protection of victims of crime, human rights violations, war and other forms of suffering in society, regardless of gender, religion or religious affiliation, political affiliation and other characteristics of the victims. Activities of the Victimology Society of Serbia is organized into two main groups of activities: VDS info and victim support and VDS center for research and education in which there is a special program that deals with truth and reconciliation.
