Il Salone Dei Rifiutati

Il Salone dei Rifiutati is a social cooperative founded in 2016, already active since 2008 as a self-managed creative atelier.

The Salone dei Rifiutati is an artisanal and creative workshop where initiatives and productions are carried out which, starting from the re-evaluation of rejected objects, become opportunities for work, meeting and sharing through innovative experiences which see doing as the fundamental aspect of knowing.

The cooperative operates in agreement with local companies that deliver production waste, then reconverted by the operators as material for educational activities, exhibitions, workshops and training courses in synergy with artists, creatives and public, private and third sector bodies, building a precious opportunity to create refresher courses aimed at teachers of all schools and social and cultural operators.

The Salone dei Rifiutati creates museum installations, interactive installations and activates artistic residency paths and participatory art operations, the result of collective discussions and reflections involving citizens of all ages.

The cooperative manages the MOON – Workshop Museum of Narrative Objects in Potenza.
