ADFIP

The Association of Development Financing Institutions in the Pacific (ADFIP) is the umbrella organisation of development financing institutions in the Pacific. It was established in 1986 to promote the interests of member organisations, to advance cooperation amongst them, and to help find solutions to problems they face with a view to promote growth, economic diversification while contributing ultimately to the development of Pacific Island Countries. In recent years, housing corporations from various Pacific Island Countries have also joined the Association.

ADFIP has now become representative of the whole Pacific region encompassing membership from the islands nations and Northern Pacific also.

The Association has developed and implemented a number of Strategic Plans since its inception. The Strategic Plan for the period 2014-2018 has been developed as the need arose from both the end of term for the preceding one as well as a need that has been recognised that the ADFIP Secretariat be strengthened into a self-sustainable operation that will provide enhanced services to its members, interact with international donor agencies and be a strong link to development in the Pacific Islands region.
