Pioneering the market as distributor to the emerging health food scene, Rabbie and Versteegh developed some of the first organic branded consumer products in Europe. These products were made with ingredients that they sourced themselves from some of the world’s most exotic locations. In 1993, the company’s consumer branded and distribution activities were dissolved, and in 1994 Tradin evolved into a specialized importer of organic ingredients, serving the entire organic industry. Over the years Tradin continued to vertically integrate their supply chains, investing in quality control and traceability, and ensuring organic integrity and security of supply. Over the past few decades, several manufacturing facilities were added to the group, transforming crude commodities into value-added ingredients, and further strengthening Tradin’s purpose in the supply chain.
