The Committee is responsible for promoting water sports on the Atlantic coast and contributing more effectively to the emergence of common water sports projects linked to the Atlantic Strategy Action Plan.

Its actions aim to contribute to the Atlantic strategy and, in particular, to its first priority "Promote entrepreneurship and innovation", in particular in the field of maritime education, with for example the Erasmus - Education - Atlantic project. Youth, as well as the fourth priority “Create a socially inclusive and sustainable regional development model”.
