About
The Latvian Association of Adult Education is an association that unites legal and natural person adult education providers in Latvia. LPIA was founded on December 14, 1993 with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia and the International Cooperation Institute of the German Adult Education Association.
Purpose of LPIA:
The purpose of LPIA is to promote the development of the adult education system and participate in the formation of lifelong learning policy, promoting the formation of a civil, democratic and open society in the country.
Vision of LPIA:
LPIA's vision is to become a leading center in the field of adult non-formal education, which unites various adult education service providers and educators, who play an important expert role in the formation of adult education policy, as well as in the implementation of quality guidelines for non-formal education services in Latvia.
