About
The Pius Hospital, founded in 1871, is located in the middle of the ramparts in the center of Oldenburg. Today, the Catholic hospital with 400 beds and a total of 13 clinics - including six university clinics - is a highly specialized and interdisciplinary acute hospital with a wide range of services and various medical competence centers.
A total of 1,500 employees take care of the well-being of the patients at the highest professional level with human attention. Due to the high degree of specialization in the individual areas, many of them come from the entire Weser-Ems region. At the Pius Hospital, patients receive treatment based on the latest medical and nursing knowledge. State-of-the-art medical technology is available for diagnostics and therapy. As part of the Oldenburg University Medical Center, the Pius-Hospital is also involved in research and teaching.
