Toraighyrov University

Toraighyrov University (TOU) is one of the largest universities in Kazakhstan. TOU is an educational center of science and culture not only in Pavlodar, but also in the Republic.

Toraighyrov University was founded on September 20, 1960 on the basis of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR, on the basis of the Pavlodar Industrial Institute (PII) in May 1960. The institute was located in two barracks and 10 one-story barracks of the former 24th military school. 400 students studied in three faculties - engineering, engineering and power engineering. The lecture was conducted by 16 teachers, only one of whom had the title of associate professor.

Today, Toraighyrov University is a higher educational institution with a long history and fame: within the walls of this university, highly qualified specialists have been trained in all regions of the country for more than half a century.
