Alianza para la Paz

Alliance for Peace (APAZ) is a regional organization that works in Latin America with the objective of promoting peace, social justice and sustainable development in the region. At APAZ we seek to generate spaces for dialogue, collaboration, and joint action among various actors, including civil society organizations, academic institutions, community leaders, and local governments.

We recognize that conflicts do not occur in a vacuum, but are intricately linked to discrimination and inequality based on multiple identities, such as gender, ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, and disability. That is why, at APAZ, we adopt a comprehensive approach that considers these intersections and seeks to address the deep roots of conflicts in order to achieve a lasting and just peace.

Our experience has been developed in diverse contexts, working closely with communities affected by conflicts in Latin America. We have learned that in order to build peace, it is essential to listen to and understand the different voices and experiences of people who are disproportionately affected by violence and oppression.
