In 1996, Ashoka began operating in Venezuela, identifying high-quality social entrepreneurs and promoters of powerful and innovative practices that, added to the opportunity to integrate into the organization's global network, has allowed Ashoka Social Entrepreneurs to project their regional work. and globally.

From the Venezuela office, strategies and activities are planned that allow the connection between Social Entrepreneurs, the network of Transformative Schools and allies throughout the region (Colombia, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia).

In Venezuela, activities are developed to strengthen the Venture and Fellowship, Transforming Schools and Ashoka Joven programs. To date, 33 Social Entrepreneurs have been selected in this country, who work in different areas of the social sector: health, education, human rights, social participation and economic development.
