Each One Teach One (Eoto) e.V.

THE UNION
The name Each One Teach One was coined in the context of black anti-racism resistance movements. He points to the lack of access to formal education in the era of enslavement and colonialism and the need to transmit knowledge within Black families and communities. EACH ONE TEACH ONE (EOTO) eV is a community-based education and empowerment project in Berlin. As part of the federal program Live Democracy! Each One Teach One (EOTO) e .
Founded in 2012, the association opened its doors in March 2014 as a neighborhood library and has been a place of learning and encounter ever since. EOTO presents literature by people of African origin and imparts knowledge in intergenerational dialogue. The reference library includes works by authors from the African continent and the diaspora and documents Black history and the present in and outside of Germany using around 6,000 mostly German-language books.
