France Volontaires

France Volontaires is the French platform for International Volunteers for Exchange and Solidarity. Created in 2009 in the form of an association, France Volontaires is the fruit of a construction shared by public and associative actors involved in international solidarity. Operator of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, it brings together the state, local authorities and associations around a mission of general interest: the development and promotion of voluntary and solidarity commitments internationally. It relies on a presence in France (France and overseas) and a network of Volunteer Spaces in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Our vision of volunteering

International solidarity commitment is a transversal and powerful response to the challenges of our society and the world. It evolves in the perspective of a voluntary - world: accessible to all, at the local, as at the international, throughout the life. It is based on human relations, intercultural exchange, partnership and the principle of reciprocity.
It is part of a journey both citizen and professional acquisition of knowledge, skills and new know-how. By its universal character, it contributes to the challenges of human and sustainable development and the strengthening of civil societies. It contributes to the emergence of inclusive, inclusive and open societies around the world.
