About
CDVHS, a non-governmental organization, has as its mission “the promotion and defense of life and human rights”, from the perspective of the indivisibility of human rights, covering civil, economic, social, cultural, environmental and political rights. The mission of CDVHS meets the following vision of the future: “a learning institution that strengthens human rights and democracy, promotes and disseminates social technologies that effect the social inclusion of children, adolescents, young people and women in social vulnerability, inhabitants of the periphery of cities, achieving local credibility and legitimacy and public notoriety for their action”
The centrality of the intervention of the Herbert de Souza Center is currently in the defense and promotion of human rights, a force that is for the inclusion and social emancipation of historically excluded populations, in relation to the vision of the future described, with the outskirts of Fortaleza as the main region of direct action, without, however, dispensing with achievements in any geographic regions in Ceará and the Northeast Region, striving for the effectiveness of positive results in the social, economic, political, cultural and environmental reality in which its action is inserted.
