In Ethiopia we share skills, knowledge and resources with people living in poverty, with a view to develop their capacities to fight poverty and its causes.
We support Community Based Organizations and local organisations to initiate community development and to fight harmful local norms, beliefs and practices that perpetuate poverty. We also encourage useful beliefs and practices in communities.
Our capacity building efforts for local partners develop their ability to own, lead, monitor, evaluate and sustain development initiatives.
Facilitating training, information and experience sharing, feedback, participation in reviews and reflection processes are some of the ways we work towards these goals.
We put innovative tools and approaches to use, to draw from a wealth of global networks and the experiences of poor people.
