Espoir 18 was created on September 16, 2002 by 6 social actors from the La Chapelle district (18ᵉ arrondissement of Paris).
The group was made up of 3 facilitators working in a leisure center and 3 community activists with the main objective of meeting the needs of young people over the age of 14, who are very often unemployed .
Espoir 18 is an association law 1901 which works for the integration and socialization of young people aged 13 to 30, in the working-class neighborhoods of the 18ᵉ arrondissement of Paris. The challenges of the territory are essentially the fight against school failure and delinquency.
Since 2012 , Espoir 18 has managed the Espaces Paris jeunes located in the 18ᵉ arrondissement.
The Youth Spaces are located in the districts of the Goutte d'Or, the Chapel, Porte d'Aubervilliers – Porte de la Chapelle, Simplon – Porte de Clignancourt and Mont Cenis.
