Alliance Development Trust (ADT)

ADT places its foundations on its vision, Uniting and empowering communities by dynamic action for social peace, public justice and economic sufficiency to transform the nation. Each community has an opportunity to grow. Each community has the potential for transformation. And that is what ADT strives to do with each community it has the privilege to work in.

To enhance participation of the affected and vulnerable communities at all levels for their own holistic transformation from restoration to development which involves networking with other humanitarian actors and soliciting cooperation of government and other national and international partners. This is ADTs mission statement and it resounds ADTs focus on holistic development, transformation and restoration. Sri Lanka has been through a 30 year old war and a devastating tsunami and rising levels of poverty. The guns are silent, but still there are those who hear the bullets even in, the deafening silence.
