In May 2002, Bureau VIDS was established as the technical and administrative arm of the association, in the form of a foundation with legal personality (VIDS Association is the traditional authority, Bureau VIDS Foundation is the executive arm). Policy-wise, the Office functions in complete synchrony with the Association and as such is an extension of it. (Bureau) VIDS has a substantial workforce, some of whom work full-time or part-time for Bureau VIDS. There are currently 15 people working at Bureau VIDS.
