Photographers Without Borders (PWB)

We envision a united, interconnected world where all that is sacred is protected—the lands, waters and traditional knowledge that has safeguarded the earth for thousands of years. We believe that when we change the story (and the storyteller), we change everything.

OUR MISSION
We are a global community of storytellers protecting what we see as sacred—land, water and Indigenous knowledge— through ethical and decolonized storytelling. We believe in creating tangible impact with stories about climate change mitigation, Indigenized science and conservation, and food security. We do this through our Revolutionary Storyteller Grant, Micro-Grants, Protectors of the Sacred initiative, and other programs. We also inspire new generations of storytellers through our acclaimed Storytelling School programs, Storytelling for Change Series & Podcast, annual events, and other initiatives and resources. We also firmly uphold the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals and UNDRIP, and prioritize capacity-building for community-based storytellers and community-led initiatives within our work.
