The role of SICASOV
SICASOV is a cooperative type company whose mission is to manage the intellectual property rights held by the creators of plant varieties. To do this, it issues, on their behalf, operating license contracts to the producers of seeds or plants who ensure their marketing.

In return, Sicasov collects royalties, pays them to the creators and monitors the proper use of the rights granted.

Sicasov also manages and defends biotechnological inventions, processes or brands.

In cases of counterfeiting, it can also take legal action on behalf of the rights holders. 

Intellectual property and innovation
Plant varieties are protected under various national and international laws. These systems encourage innovation and creation, thus contributing to progress in agriculture and food. 

Scope
SICASOV manages most of the protected plant varieties produced under license in the field of field crops. It also manages varieties of horticultural, fruit, forestry, vegetable and floral species.

Sicasov's services are accessible to French and foreign creators in all territories where their varieties are protected.
