Since 1988 Handicap..su la testa has been at the forefront in providing concrete answers to the need for social integration of hundreds of children with intellectual disabilities. Friendship and Spontaneity, Enthusiasm and Irony... this is the secret, the spirit that drives hundreds of young volunteers to join us, the principle of our commitment and the alchemy that magically makes all this possible.

Entirely managed by young people, and conceived for young people, the association acts as a meeting point between people with intellectual disabilities and volunteers, offering spaces to create sincere friendships in a continuous exchange of stimuli and experiences, with the aim to:
1. allow children with intellectual disabilities to spend their free time in a festive atmosphere, carrying out recreational activities that allow them to fit into a group of friends where the roles of assistant and assisted are not highlighted;
2. prevent children with intellectual disabilities from spending part of their days in idleness and solitude.
3. offer users spaces for free growth, in a context outside the family and other therapeutic or educational realities: spaces that are fundamental for the training of every adult, but which remain mostly closed to people suffering from intellectual disabilities.
4. offer help to families, allowing them to have a few hours free for their commitments
