Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TUSEB) / Türkiye Sağlık Enstitüleri Başkanlığı

Health Institutes of Türkiye (TUSEB) was established with a mission to serve our country and humanity in the field of health science and technologies, to support planned and sustainable development. In accordance with the targets of serving the purpose of advanced technology and innovation in the field of health science and technologies in Turkey, reducing the external dependence, increasing and perpetuating the competition, the priorities designated by Ministry of Health and The President of Turkey are taken into consideration with the development plan targets.

TUSEB is made up of 9 (nine) research institutes established in line with requirements of health science and technology:

Turkish Maternity, Child and Adolescent Health Institute
Turkish Biotechnology Institute
Turkish Traditional and Complementary Medicine Institute
Turkish Public Health and Chronic Diseases Institute
Turkish Cancer Institute
Turkish Health Care Quality and Accreditation Institute
Turkish Health Policies Institute
Turkish Vaccine Institute
Turkish Health Data Research and Artificial Intelligence Applications Institute
In compliance with the requirements of the time and conditions, TUSEB will incorporate new institutions that could update the health research sites and also cooperate national and international health and research organizations.

In addition to the research institutions, there are such centres as Aziz Sancar Research and Development Centre (ASAGEM), R&D Directorate Localization Coordination Centre and Clinical Research Centre.

Related institutes, offices and centres located in Ankara and İstanbul campuses, the targets are:

To ensure the production of new products and also to make the existing ones be developed, localized and nationalized;
To provide transforming the studies, aimed at developing medical product and technologies notably drug, vaccine, medical device, biomaterial and diagnostic kits, from R & D phase to production phase into the final product to be able be used for the clinical research;
To encourage R & D, clinical research and technology development within public and private sector, and to provide the researchers a scientific atmosphere;
To fund R & D, clinical research and technology development studies with the project supports that are based on free competition and formed pursuant to principle of transparency and equity;
To make and promote basic, translational and clinical research cooperating with public institutions, universities, research centres and private sector;
To take necessary steps to put individualized medicine into practice, to develop targeted diagnosis / follow-up / treatment strategies, to improve life span of the individuals and the quality of clinical applications;
To lead the development of ecosystems with the help of health science and technology culture
To conduct accreditation activities in health services;
To develop and implement preventive and predictive health policies, which pave the way for the financial resources to be used more efficiently in health systems;
To organize courses, conferences, educational activities and events in order to raise qualified human resources and to advance in the field of health science and technologies.

Mission: to lead the studies for innovation conducted systematically in the field of health science and technologies, and to support the practitioners and researchers scientifically, technically and financially, to increase domestication and nationalisation in a way that fulfil the needs of individuals in Turkey in line with developing technologies.

Vision: to be the international leading agency focused on R & D in the field of health science and technologies.
