About
It is a decentralized entity of the Presidency of the Republic, with functional and budgetary independence and sufficient administrative powers to ensure the technical and financial ability necessary to meet its objectives. The Commission will supervise financial, insurance, pension, securities and other activities related to the management, use and investment of resources collected from the public; and other financial institutions and activities, determined by the President of the Republic in the Council of Ministers; It will also ensure that the supervised institutions have money laundering and terrorist financing prevention systems; enforcing the laws that regulate these activities.
We are the institution that by constitutional mandate has the responsibility of ensuring the stability and solvency of the financial system and other supervised ones, its regulation, supervision and control. Likewise, we monitor transparency and that the rights of financial users are respected, as well as we contribute to the system of prevention and detection of money laundering and financing of terrorism, and we contribute to promoting financial education and inclusion, in order to safeguard the interest public.
